2008 Arizona
Election Results
The message couldn't be clearer: voters wanted progressive change. They elected an outstanding progressive as the next president. They put Democrats solidly in control of the Congress. They elected 87 great Progressive Majority candidates to state and local office.
Progressive Majority excelled on election night, winning more than half our races, including an impressive 75 percent win-rate in non-partisan contests. We added nine new progressive local leaders, and despite the tide being against Democratic legislative candidates in Arizona, two new progressive state representatives: Rae Waters and Pat Fleming. Surely and methodically, progressives continue to whittle away decades of conservative control in Arizona.
