2008 Minnesota
Election Results
The message couldn't be clearer: voters wanted progressive change. They elected an outstanding progressive as the next president. They put Democrats solidly in control of the Congress. They elected 87 great Progressive Majority candidates to state and local office. And, in Minnesota, we elected five new progressives and got one step closer to a supermajority in the state House of Representatives!
In Minnesota's electoral battlegrounds, Progressive Majority is blocking conservative power grabs. This year, our efforts paid off again: not only did we fight back against Gov. Pawlenty's veto pen, we also flipped control of the Hennepin County Board of Commission and the Cottage Grove City Council. Elsewhere in the state, we elected six progressives to local offices. With each victory, we build the progressive base in Minnesota, and we keep conservatives out of office.
