2008 Ohio
Election Results
The message couldn't be clearer: voters wanted progressive change. They elected an outstanding progressive as the next president. They put Democrats solidly in control of the Congress. They elected 86 great Progressive Majority candidates to state and local office. And, in Ohio, we elected at least seven progressives and formed a Democratic majority in the state House of Representatives!
In Ohio's electoral battlegrounds, Progressive Majority is fighting back against decades of conservative control. We just opened our doors in Ohio in January of this year, and our efforts already paid off: not only did we elect a majority in the Ohio House, but we also defeated a creationist majority on the state Board of Education and put progressives in charge! With each victory, we build the progressive base in Ohio, and we keep conservatives out of office.
