Progressives Won!

Today, everyone will be studying the losses in Virginia and New Jersey -- and the devastating loss on marriage equality in Maine -- to see what it means for Democrats in 2010. Pundits will conclude what we here at Progressive Majority see every day at voter's doors. People are very worried about the economy. They are ready to hold politicians accountable. They voted for change once and they'll do it again.

The fact is, this could be good news for progressives in 2010...

A Great Night in Minnesota

On Thursday, I spoke at a Progressive Majority event in Minnesota where over 80 progressive leaders gathered to talk strategy for 2008 and beyond. Our brilliant hosts, along with our ten co-hosts, held a fantastic event that served as a reminder why progressive power is growing today.

Apparently, Progressive Majority is now the "second most dangerous organization in America." 
At least, according to several ultra-conservative bloggers' postings.  They must be feeling pretty threatened to call us names and spread blatant lies.

Welcome to Progressive Majority's New Website!

This is the first of what I’m sure will be many blog entries and I am excited to have this new way to both keep you updated and create a space to hear your thoughts, feelings, and stories about our fight to bring our progressive ideals to all levels of government.

News and information does not wait for our next email or publication. And, now we have a way to get polls, campaign news, volunteer information, and endorsements out to you as they happen. I hope you'll check back often and help us make this a space for conversation, encouragement, and action.

But as I'm sure you've noticed our new blog is not the only thing that has changed around the Progressive Majority website. After much hard work I am pleased to introduce you to our newly redesigned site. Not only is the new website easier to navigate through, but it provides much more information about our programs, candidates and vision.
