Ken Mann's Win Makes it 24
Dean Nielsen, National Political Director on November 10, 2009 4:06 PM
elected to office. Today, we're happy to announce that 24 candidates have now been elected!
In Washington state, Ken Mann has now won his election to the Whatcom County Council by more than 2,000 votes. This has been a long time coming. Two years ago, as a first time candidate, Ken ran a good campaign and learned a lot, but came up just short of winning. He wasn't discouraged and took what he learned from that defeat and turned it into a win this year! Congratulations, Ken!
With Ken's victory, there are only two races left to be decided, both in Washington state. Marilyn Strickland is leading in the race to be the next mayor of Tacoma by 1,090 votes. Dan McShane is trying to join Ken Mann on the Whatcom County Council, but is trailing by less than 200 votes. We will update you on these races when more information is available.
