Denver Victories
Joe Miklosi, Colorado State Director on June 07, 2007 6:04 PM
Tuesday, June 5 was a historic day in Denver, Colorado with both Paul Lopez and Chris Nevitt winning their respective city council races by 62% to 38% and 63% to 37% respectively. Both Paul and Chris are progressive champions who will provide a strong voice of promoting sustainable communities, energy, labor, living wage, redevelopment issues, and more opportunities for all working families.
At 28 years old, Paul will be the youngest person on the Denver City Council. He was raised in West Denver and will work hard to ensure that resources and attention are allocated to all neighborhoods fairly.
Chris has collaborated with both workers and developers on major redevelopment projects and plans to continue his work of creative cooperation as an elected councilor.
Both Chris and Paul knocked on thousands of doors and listened to voters from every neighborhood in their district - they both will be accessible, amazing city councilors!
