Exciting news… in Arizona??

We're excited to announce we're working with a new social justice national PAC, called PAC+, to elect more progressives in Arizona and across the country. PAC+ is a national network of leaders focused on democratizing money and politics to give voice to America’s New Majority by focusing on many donors, not mega donors.

PAC+ was launched on March 21st by a National Board of over 70 community and political leaders in 16 states. Even though it is brand new, PAC+ already has a record of success: going 3 for 3 in the Texas primary -- supporting and endorsing bold progressive candidates Mary Gonzalez, Mary Ann Perez, and Marc Veasey.

Tuesday night

I'm sure you've heard: Tuesday night we got some bad news. Progressives worked so hard over the past year to shine a light on Scott Walker’s record and hold him accountable, yet we didn’t get the outcome we needed.

But this is not an end, it’s just another beginning. Despite GOP voter suppression efforts, it looks like Democrats took back the Wisconsin State Senate. John Lehman defeated Republican Van Wanggaard and gave Democrats a one seat majority in the Senate, a way to block Scott Walker’s dangerous agenda.

Endorsements

We’re excited to announce 19 new endorsements for 2012 in California, Florida, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington. These candidates are teachers, fire fighters, veterans and progressives just like you. They’re running to take the fight to conservatives in state legislatures to protect education, health care, workers’ rights and women’s health.

Over 700 anti-union bills introduced across the country

From the LA Times:

The National Conference of State Legislatures is tracking an explosion of 744 bills that largely target public-sector unions, introduced in virtually every state.
