Alberto Garcia is running for Westminster City Council. An attorney and small business owner, Alberto started his legal career at the Colorado Attorney General's Office under the leadership of then-Attorney General Ken Salazar. Alberto opened his own practice in 2008, where he currently works to serve the needs of indigent defendants throughout the State. He has been extremely active in the community for a number of years. He served as an officer in the Westminster Optimist Club, a board member of the non-profit association Intercambio de Communidades, and was an appointed member of the Colorado Childcare Licensing Board. Alberto has also been active in the public policy arena, working at the state capitol during the Colorado General Assembly for the past two legislative sessions. Alberto believes that working at the state capitol has given him a unique perspective into the issues facing municipalities across the state.
