Christine moved to Kitsap County in 1992 with her husband Leonard. They currently live on Bainbridge Island with their two school-aged children. Christine’s professional background is in economics and environmental policy where she has spent 20 years working to create employment opportunities while protecting clean water and clean-up of Puget Sound and Hood Canal. Christine has long been active in her community, serving on Bainbridge Island City Council, Kitsap County Board of Health and volunteering with local organizations. Elected to the Washington House of Representatives in 2006, Christine is an effective legislator and advocate on issues ranging from education funding, reforming the Washington State Ferry system, protecting military families and improving environmental disaster response. Christine continues working to boost investments in local communities and expand manufacturing jobs, in particular the aerospace industry and strengthening Kitsap County’s maritime base.
