Lauren is currently a student at the University of Washington School of Law where she is a representative to the Dean’s Committee on Diversity. She is a Board Member of Students for Labor and Employment Justice and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. She will receive her Law degree with a concentration in Public Interest - Labor and Employment..
Lauren has worked as a union organizer with AFSCME Council 28 (the Washington Federation of State Employees), and with UFCW Local 21. She is an experienced advocate for workers’ rights, particularly those of low-wage retail, health care, and public workers.
Lauren volunteers at local women’s rights and men’s-violence-prevention groups and with the Unemployment Law Project, and has worked as Tutoring Program Coordinator at the FamilyWorks Food Bank and Resource Center.
