State Representative, District 9
Randy Friese is running for Arizona House of Representatives in District 9. In 1997, Randy entered active duty military service with the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. For the next four years he served as a surgeon in Okinawa, Japan and Camp Pendleton, California. In 2008, Randy joined the University of Arizona College of Medicine as the Associate Trauma Medical Director. In that role, Randy was the surgeon who initially treated Congresswoman Gabby Giffords when she was shot. That experience is what spurred him to greater interest in public office.
Randy is also a graduate of Leading for Change, Arizona’s candidate training program for progressives.
This seat is a must-win for Democrats in order to be able to flip the House in a future cycle.
