A lifelong resident of Renton, Steve is currently a public school teacher at Lindbergh High School. In addition to working with students as a teacher, Steve is a volunteer and community leader. Steve is a coach for the golf programs at both Lindbergh and Renton High School and once organized the community to raise $100,000 to maintain these programs when facing budget cuts. Steve is also a small business owner, running a local tennis shop.
