Tony Retaskie is running for State Representative in District 109. The focus of Tony's campaign is on young people and jobs – he’ll be an advocate for jobs in the Upper Peninsula and a strong advocate for education. His motivator is that one person can make a difference – he learned that from the 8.5 years he served on the Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education. The success of young people is a top priority for Tony, and he has centered much of his current work on this principle. He is a founding member of the Upper Peninsula Construction Skills Challenge, a building competition for high school students, and the founder of the Industrial Trades Career Day, a hands on career fair for high school students.
