Winnie Brinks is an educator, advocate, and community servant. Winnie served as Executive Director of One Way House, Inc., a non-profit that provided residential services for female offenders as an alternative to incarceration. She also worked as a Spanish teacher and owned a small web-based business. Winnie has been active in the community mobilizing parents, teachers, and community members to advocate for positive change in education. She served as the Chair of the East Grand Rapids Parent-Teacher-Student Association’s Legislative Committee. Currently, Winnie is a caseworker at The Source, a non-profit employee support organization.
