On Tuesday in Colorado

On Tuesday Colorado held their primaries, and we have some great Progressive Majority news to share! Eva Henry, candidate for Adams County Commissioner and farm team member, won her primary with 60% of the vote (unofficial results). This is an open seat and this area is strongly Democratic, so her main race was Tuesday.

Reproductive Rights - New Hampshire

Last month, New Hampshire legislators voted to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, causing six clinics in the state to stop providing birth control. Last week, the state's exective council had a chance to reverse this vote, but anti-choicers won out. It's a bleak situation for women in New Hampshire, not to mention all the other states who are marginalizing women's health issues.

Brett Hulsey (State Rep. WI) and Assembly Dems continue to voice opposition to Walker's bill. "The bill assaults our families, our freedom, it undermines our future in a needless way," said Hulsey in the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
