Racial Justice
The only way progressives are going to gain long-term power is by electing candidates who reflect our nation's diversity. That's why Progressive Majority is making it a priority to recruit people of color to run, win local elections, and support stars so they can rise to be national leaders.
Through the Racial Justice Campaign, we find and recruit people of color who are also the best candidates to run in key races. We find leaders who are committed progressives, competitive candidates, and who will be our most unwavering supporters once elected. It's how we'll make our agenda law.

Racial Justice Campaign Program Goals
The Racial Justice Campaign is committed to prioritizing the election of candidates of color, as a key component of our winning political strategy, in our targeted states and beyond.
We do this by accomplishing three main goals:
- Perfect a political model for candidates of color. With Racial Justice Campaign recruiters on the ground in Progressive Majority's targeted states, we are developing strategies to bring more people of color into politics and helping them overcome specific challenges they face when running for office.
- Elect progressive people of color beyond our targeted states. Building political power in the progressive movement requires a national strategy and effort that mobilizes people of color.
- Expand the political discourse to include communities of color. Innovative academics, operatives and organizers will forge new strategies to harness the power of people of color to build a lasting political majority.
