Drafting a Campaign Plan

This online training was conducted by Progressive Majority Minnesota State Director Matt Filner on campaign plan writing on July 22, 2009. The first and most important step in launching a successful campaign is writing your campaign plan. The plan is a detailed, comprehensive and informed outline of your entire campaign operation that takes you from the announcement of your candidacy to your victory on Election Day. Participants will learn the basic requirements for putting together their own campaign plan, no matter if they're running for school board, city council, state legislature or for higher office. I will provide an overview of all of the plan elements, including budgeting, timelines, and basic-level fundraising planning and targeting.
