On Tuesday in Colorado

On Tuesday Colorado held their primaries, and we have some great Progressive Majority news to share! Eva Henry, candidate for Adams County Commissioner and farm team member, won her primary with 60% of the vote (unofficial results). This is an open seat and this area is strongly Democratic, so her main race was Tuesday.

Now we're turning to our other candidates in Colorado to help them win their elections in November. Please donate $5 or more today, so our other Colorado candidates can join Eva Henry in victory! All contributions will go directly to supporting Colorado candidates in 2012.

We have 22 farm team members in Colorado including Eva, here are a few more of their stories:

Tim Allport Tim Allport is running for State Representative in District 27 in Colorado. Having served the people of Colorado as a public employee and as an active member of the community, he has a unique background and a strong passion to serve. Tim has always been involved in his community and believes that civic involvement is part of civic responsibility. He's running because he believes government has a responsibility to improve people’s lives. Tim is running in a targeted district in a targeted county. With a seat advantage of one in the House, this district presents us with a strong pick-up opportunity to meet our goal of regaining control of the Colorado House.
Jessica Garrow Jessica Garrow is running for University of Colorado Regent, District 3. She was so inspired by the fight to preserve union rights in Ohio that she decided to run for office this year. As a graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, Jessica knows how important the state university system is to Colorado. And as a young person, Jessica is passionate about increasing opportunities for young people to get a good education and become involved in their communities. She is in a winnable district, and needs your help today.

Other great progressive candidates in Colorado include past farm team members (and sitting State Representatives) Andy Kerr and John Kefalas, now running for State Senate. We're helping them to take the next step up.

Our trainings and the campaign services we offer candidates like Eva, Tim, and Jessica make the difference in close elections. We help them build a winning campaign strategy and plan, fundraising plan, and message, assist them with voter targeting and more. But we need YOU to help us support these candidates. The greater your support, the more we can do for all our hard-working progressive candidates on the ground. Please donate $5 or more today so we can help all our Colorado candidates win their elections this fall, and build the progressive bench in Colorado for future elections too.
